This old house café with scenic views truly amazed us, and it's no wonder it has received an impressive 4.6-star rating on Google reviews. If you're visiting Daxi Old Street and looking for a place to enjoy coffee and a chat, you must not miss "Hidden Garden Cafe"!

I forgot to take a photo of the cafe's entrance this time! However, the facade and location of Hidden Garden Café truly surprised us. We didn't expect such a beautiful scenic café to be hidden in a small alley. It really lives up to its name, "Hidden Garden"!
Although the café uses the narrow space and gravel floor of an old house, the interior décor is quite modern. The first floor serves as the café, while the second floor is a guesthouse, providing an overnight stay for visitors to Daxi.
An entire wall is covered with vibrant and joyful photos of the café's visitors, making many tourists eager to take their own pictures in front of this photo wall!
At the end of the narrow café, there's a floor-to-ceiling window and a glass door leading to outdoor seating. From here, you can directly see the expansive view outside the back door.
I must say, the scenery at this café with a view is truly stunning! Who would have thought that such an ordinary-looking café tucked away in an alley could offer such expansive views? Coupled with vast fields and distant mountains, if it weren't for the thick clouds that day, we would have definitely chosen to sit in the outdoor seating area!
The outdoor seating area not only features bar counters and high stools but also offers regular dining tables and chairs for face-to-face dining options.
Hidden Flower Garden Café has also thoughtfully installed a restroom specifically for the outdoor seating area, ensuring that patrons seated outside don't have to trek all the way back inside the café for restroom or handwashing needs. It's really thoughtful!
From the outdoor seating area at Hidden Garden Café, you can see that the houses on the same side of the alley also enjoy such expansive views. No wonder besides Hidden Garden Café's own bed and breakfast, the adjacent storefronts have also been converted into lodgings.
Sitting here and enjoying a cup of coffee is definitely a treat,right?
▲ Latte with Ice drip coffee
The whole cup of fresh milk paired with black rose made from frozen black coffee. Even though it's frozen into rose-shaped ice, you can still taste the excellent and delicious black coffee from Hidden Garden Café. What's remarkable is that the beautiful black rose makes it even more special! It makes us want to buy rose molds so we can recreate this romantic drink at home!
The only downside is that if you want to drink a latte, you have to wait for the rose ice cubes to melt. Otherwise, you'll just be drinking plain fresh milk.

Similarly shaped rose ice cubes, the ice drip coffee is just plain black coffee with rose-shaped ice cubes, perfect for those who want to take beautiful photos but don't prefer latte (milk) or don't want to wait.

The double afternoon tea set at Hidden Garden includes two fruit scones,2 cakes, flan, and blueberry yogurt. The cakes feature passion fruit, pineapple cake, and lemon curd cake, all with a sweet and sour flavor. Personally, I especially like their lemon curd cake, with its soft and fluffy cake complemented by a slightly sour lemon curd, not too dry or sweet, and pairs perfectly with coffee.
The 8-inch seafood pizza, topped with small shrimp and clams.The pizza has a rich cheese flavor that masks the taste of the clams a bit, but I still really enjoy it! Especially their crust, which is slightly crispy and has a hint of toasted aroma, unlike the thicker crusts of well-known chain pizzas. The key point is, this pizza is so delicious and aromatic that one 8-inch pizza is just not enough!
It smells so good as soon as you walk in at Hidden Garden with the aroma of their pancakes, so we immediately decided to order some. They have ones with mochi filling, which is quite unique. However, we prefer the plain pancakes without any extras, so we asked the staff to make them plain for us. The pancakes at Hidden Garden not only smell heavenly but also taste delicious, capturing the original essence of pancakes. We really love them!
Overall, I highly recommend Hidden Garden Café located in Daxi! Not only is the scenery perfect for photos, but the food is also delicious and photogenic. One drawback is that parking spaces nearby are limited, and there are traffic controls on weekends and holidays, making it challenging to drive there. Therefore, I suggest parking further out in Daxi and walking to the café, which might be more convenient.
